Raid Rules
Objective: This system is a point system that will favor those with higher attendance and low win percentages. One of the goals of the system to make luck of less value when determining loot. We hope winning streaks and losing streaks will balance out more amongst our members who attend regularly. Most of our normal 'play nice' rules will still be in effect (such as 1 loot per raid day). However, since this system allowed us to control bonuses and penalties, we are able to institute new rules to cover some aspects of raiding we have not been able to control before (such as bots and late arrivals).
Definitions: The first thing that will be covered is our official definitions. These can be important for determining where rules apply.
-
Raid- Fiery Justice raids are officer sponsered only events. They will be events that require all of our resources. Simply taking more than one group to clear content that only requires one group or less does not qualify as a raid. There are some events that have been trivialized by gaining more gear and levels and can now be done with one group. These events can still be declared as raids at the officers' discretion.
-
Main- Mains are the characters that carry your identity. They are generally your most played and most powerful character. We maintain a list of mains in the guild listings under public note. If you have any disputes with what we have listed for you or you wish to change your declared main, then you must speak to an officer about it. Keep in mind that we will not change mains on a whim. You must show a long track record of playing that toon over your current main. We will transfer your current point total from your current main to your new main. However, all attendance % not related to those points will be lost. Your new main will have to work hard to earn special loot status.
-
Alts/Bots- These are simply any characters you play that are not your main.
-
Rot Loot- Rot loot is defined as any loot that is not being rolled on for any main. If even one main rolls on the item, then it is not a rot loot, even if an alt/bot wins the item.
Modified Roll Points System: Members gain points by attending raids. Showing up late or leaving early will reduce the number of points that a member gains from the raid. After accumulating so many points, the members get to roll numbers that will slightly increase thier chances of winning of an item. Continueing to gain points will continue to increase that chance. Winning items reduces points.
-
Points Responsibility- Knowing a characters points and the numbers they need to roll are the player's responsibility. Officers will not be responsibile for informing players of their rolls. Anyone winning a loot with a roll that gives them a higher chance to win than they should of had will automatically be disqualified from that loot. The next higher winner will be taken and the player that misrolled cannot reroll for the item they misrolled on.
-
Points Earned- Different raids will have different max points associated with them. Mini raids can earn one point. Large raids can earn two points. Epic raids can earn three points. Points are gained only by person and not by toon. The points will be marked under the person's main toon. Bringing more than one character does not increase the points gained.
-
Mini Raids- Are quick single mob kill raids. They require no clearing and are generally over shortly after engaging the target. Examples are Ragewind and Collossus.
-
Large Raids- Are raids that usually take an hour, but no more than two. Examples are Rampaging Monolith and Emoush.
-
Epic Raids- Are raids that take two or more hours to complete. They have nothing to do with epic weapons(although they are called epic because they are designed to take a long time to complete). Epic raids can be one long mission or a series of related fights. Examples are ToB Farming or Time(although our Time raid is not considered a Fiery Justice raid).
-
Point Loss- Occurs when a member wins loot. A normal upgrade for a main results in a complete point loss. Winning a piece of rot loot only reduces the members points by five. If the member does not have enough points, they will be defaulted to zero.
-
Alts/Bots- Can be rolled for if appropriate. The member will use a penalized roll for alt/bot rolls.
-
Guests- May roll for loot. The guest will use a penalized roll which is 1000 less than what a guild member would roll in the same situation. Points for guests will be maintained and they can increase their chances of winning on an item by gaining enough points. However, they will always use the penalized roll to give a guild member who has the same attendance record the advantage. Guests can also use the member detail page for thier rolls as it will know to show the penalty.
-
Lateness- A raid day begins at the scheduled time. Arriving after this time will mark a member as late. This means if we schedule five raids starting at noon, arriveing at 12:01 or later will mark a player as late. If we break and shedule more raids for that afternoon or evening, then the late penalty can carry over and members who were not late to the morning session can be marked late to the later session. Late members will have to use a lateness penalty on their rolls for the next loot they roll on. They will return to their normal rolling status after that point even if they do not win.
-
Item Limit- Can only win one item per day, regardless of points. If everyone that can use an item has already won an item for that day then, members may begin rolling for a second item until everyone has a second item and so on. If another item drops that can be used by someone who has not won an item yet, the rules go back to the one item per day rule.
-
Special Loot- Some items are designated as special items and have restrictions on who can roll. In order to qualify for this benefit, you must have 75% or higher on the 90 day attendance. Special loot preferences are for Fiery Justice mains only unless specified by the rule itself.
-
Points Breakdown- The following is the chart by points of what to roll for a normal main loot. Match your points with this table and then add any bonuses or penalties to the minimum roll in order to see what you should roll. You can also click your name in the points by member page for a chart that shows your rolls without having to calculate them yourself.

Point update- Points are only added at the end of a raiding day. However, they are lost immediately when loot is won. The points section will not reflect the gains or losses until we update the site with the current day's raids. So players who have won loot may have to do some manual calculations to figure out what to roll for future items that day. Winning a normal main upgrade will cause members to lose all points up to and including that day. Even if there are raids following the raid the member won loot in, those points will not end up on the members total for the next day.
